Programme Structure & Timeline
Initial training phase (Months 1–5)
Introduction to quality principles and continuous improvement methodologies Understanding quality standards, systems, and compliance requirements Data analysis techniques and use of quality metrics Problem solving tools including root cause analysis and corrective actions Supporting audits and maintaining quality documentation
On-the-job application phase (Months 6–10)
Workplace-based improvement projects aligned to business needs Application of quality tools and methodologies in real operational environments Supporting audits, compliance, and continuous improvement activities Embedding learning into day-to-day role and responsibilities Ongoing coaching and mentoring to reinforce capability development
End point assessment phase (Month 12)
1. Project report, presentation & questioning to holistically assess knowledge, skills and behaviours across the standard – based on the apprentice’s improvement project(s) as contained in the project report (1 hour)
2. Professional discussion underpinned by the apprentice’s portfolio of evidence to holistically assess knowledge, skills and behaviours across the standard (1 hour)
All learning is supported with workplace coaching, 1-to-1 mentoring, and access to templates and tools to use immediately in the workplace.
